- How to weaponize office supplies
- Now, supposedly "ninja" is not as recession-proof a position as I would have thought, which boggles my mind, because I've tried to find ninjas-for-hire to deal with recalcitrant developers.

News: Ninjas, Cats, and Ninja Cats
(Disclaimer: ok, none of this comes close to being "news," but it's still more relevant than anything they show on Fox News these days.)

News: Stupid and Stupider

Whiteboard jungle action:
And to end that on a positive note:
- An idiot-meets-cop story that's actually from some place other than Florida! An Ohio woman walked up to a police officer, asked if there was a curfew, and then asked if there was an open warrant out for her. No and yes! There must be a better way to find out if an arrest warrant exists for you. I wonder if there's an app for that.
- Of course, that doesn't mean the idiot locus has left Florida. This guy got pulled over on a traffic stop. The officer noticed the unmistakable smell of marijuana coming from the car, so he searched the man, and found two baggies of assorted drugs between his buttocks.
When the bag fell to the ground, Roberts immediately said, according to the report, “The white stuff is not mine, but the weed is.”

That just leaves me speechless...
- Southern Baptists are not allowed to practice yoga, while "Other Christian leaders have said practicing yoga is incompatible with the teachings of Jesus." You know, I've read the Bible a couple times and I never saw anything along the lines of "Thou shalt not tie thyself into a knot."

Can I get some extra spell points while you're at it?
That guy? The one at the computer? That's totally me. I have said that exact same thing before. Java is a bloat-hog and if you're only going to run your app on one platform ever, WRITE IT IN SOMETHING ELSE.

Dude, I need to figure out where they hired their ninjas!

Other: Ninja in a Box!
Because apparently even craigslist doesn't have a "Ninjas for Hire" section, I decided I had to provide my own ninja delivery system. (And why do I need a ninja delivery system? Because harsh language has proved insufficient in certain situations.)
It's still in the prototype stage, but below is a test video. Note I was not testing it on Spoon; the camera hog saw the camera set up and, as usual, he had to get in the picture. He didn't seem all that perturbed, oddly enough. Maybe if it had been "vacuum in a box."

Other: Welcome to the Whiteboard Jungle (Plus special Knittin' Crap extra!)
For reasons better left unexplained, my group at work somehow ended up with animal versions of ourselves on the giant whiteboard in Mr Bob's cubicle. No one was allowed to choose their own animal, except for Bob, but he chose the animal we would have chosen for him anyway.
For reasons better left unexplained, I ended up drawing most of the animals.

Trust me; I am not very good. For reasons left unexplained to me, I was elected a frog. Dan-the-invisible-giant-rabbit

chose it, then drew a frog which was so bad, a pre-schooler would have been ashamed of it. So I drew my own frog.
Hansen is the only person not in our group who has an official portrait.

(He drew a doubly-aprocryphal animal for someone else; doubly both because we did not sanction it and the person chose her own animal.) Hansen is the meerkat. Hansen is the meerkat always popping up in our cubicles and driving us nuts. Don't get us wrong; we love Hansen. As long as he is bugging someone in some other group. Hansen's alter ego is a gnat; he's also buzzing around, driving you nuts, and it's impossible to swat him away.
I did make a pleasant discovery earlier this week. The incredible limbless ninja

I made from the book Creepy Cute Crochet doubles as Hansen repellent! I was showing it around, realized I hadn't gotten all the Spoon-supplied white cat hairs off, and picked one off. Hansen, ever-present, jumped back.
He's allergic to cat fur.

Pandora's Litter Box/Knittin' Crap: How To Torture Your Cat (Benignly)
This person seems to enjoy torturing her cats, Greaseball and Fifty-Fifty, with knitted fashion. (Greaseball looks so much like a Russian Blue look-a-like I grew up with named Tigger. Please note I was 5 when he was born. "Tigger" is a name a 5-year-old would come up with. Please note also that my aunt has a dog, yes, dog, named "Tigger." Please note that she named him when she was, ok, let's be nice and say in her 50s.)
Greaseball as the Statue of Liberty!
Greaseball az zee French cafe denizen!
Fifty-Fifty as a ninja kitty!
The fez is also really cool.
Her cats are amazingly patient. I'm not sure I could get away with trying to dress up my cats. Spoon would likely freak out and make for the underside of the bed, and Pandora might put up with it, if she deemed the article worthy, or she might take my hand off at the wrist.
